Fees, payouts and who holds your money

EmbPay charges no platform fee on any plan, including the free one. There is no percentage and no per-transaction cut. The only per-sale cost is Stripe's own processing fee, which Stripe bills to you directly under your own agreement with them — usually 2.9% + 30¢, though your rate is between you and Stripe.

What a sale actually costs

EmbPay's own revenue is the optional monthly plan, not your sales. The free plan stays free, and what the paid plans change is on the pricing page.

You are the merchant of record

Each sale is a Stripe direct charge on your connected account. The charge belongs to your account from the moment it exists, which is what makes you — not EmbPay — the merchant of record. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks are all yours, and so is the relationship with Stripe.

The practical consequence is that EmbPay is never holding your money. We cannot delay a payout, freeze a balance, or lose one, because the funds are never routed through us in the first place.

When you get paid

Payouts are entirely Stripe's, on the schedule set in your own Stripe dashboard. EmbPay has no payout settings, no control over the timing, and no way to change it — if you want to be paid on a different cadence, change it in Stripe.

Plan limits never touch a payment

No plan check sits anywhere in the payment path. Orders are uncapped on every plan, including free. This is a deliberate design rule: blocking a merchant from adding an eleventh product is an upgrade prompt they can act on, whereas blocking an order is a buyer hitting an error at checkout and a sale that was already earned being lost.
