Delivering files with expiring links

Upload a file up to 500 MB and EmbPay delivers it as a private, expiring link in the buyer's confirmation email and customer hub.

Attach a file to a product and EmbPay handles delivery: the buyer gets a private link in their confirmation email under a “Get your download” button, and the same link in their customer hub.

You choose the window when you set the product up: one hour, six hours, twelve hours, one day, two days, one week, or never expiring. The default is one day, counted from when the order was placed rather than from when the buyer clicks.

After the window closes the link returns a clear message telling the buyer to contact you for a fresh one.

The link carries its own proof. Anyone holding it can download the file until the window closes, with no login and no check against the buyer's email — which is what makes it work in an email client, and also what makes it worth saying plainly. If a buyer forwards their link, the recipient can use it. Choose a shorter window for anything valuable.

Uploads

  • One hosted file per product.
  • Up to 500 MB.
  • Any file type. Filenames are cleaned up, but the format is up to you.
