Video sells in three shapes: a tutorial or masterclass people download and keep, stock footage that editors license clip by clip, and a lesson series that lives behind a link. Each has a different file size problem, and file size is the thing that decides how you deliver it.

EmbPay handles all three, differently. Short tutorials and stock clips are uploaded and delivered as expiring downloads. Longer series stay on your own video host and EmbPay delivers the private link after payment. In both cases the checkout is on your site or your bio link, the card payment settles to your own Stripe account, and no percentage is taken by the platform.

Single stock clips and short tutorials commonly sell in the tens of dollars; full masterclasses and clip libraries sell in the hundreds, often with a split-pay option.
Stock footage is priced per licence, so personal and commercial options on the same product let editors self-select. Tutorials and courses do well with a payment plan: split-pay in two or three instalments removes the sticker shock without cutting the price. Project files and LUT packs are natural one-click upsells after the main purchase.

Create the product
In the dashboard, add a product with a name, description and price. Choose how it is delivered: upload a file, point to a hosted URL, issue a licence key, or show instructions after purchase.

Package your videos and stock footage
EmbPay hosts one file per product, up to 500 MB. That is enough for a compressed tutorial of an hour or so, or a pack of short stock clips, and not enough for ProRes masters or a full course. For anything larger, keep the video on your own host with an unlisted or private link and use the hosted-URL delivery type; EmbPay sends the buyer to that link only after a successful payment. Project files and LUTs can ship as a zip alongside either.

Share the link or embed the checkout
Every product has a hosted page you can link from anywhere, and an embed snippet for your own site. Connect your Stripe account and buyers can pay; until then the page says the product is not on sale yet.

Hosted-URL delivery for big files
Keep the video where it already lives and let EmbPay gate the link. The buyer is sent to it after payment and can reopen it from the confirmation email or the customer hub.
Expiring downloads for clips
Clip packs under 500 MB can be uploaded and delivered on a link that expires after the window you set, from one hour to never.
Instalments that charge themselves
Split-pay collects each instalment automatically, and failed renewals get dunning emails on a schedule you set. You never chase a balance by hand.
Cancel-purchase for EU buyers
If you sell to EU consumers, the checkout can collect the consent that lets a download start immediately, and handles cancellation requests for anything that has not.

Can EmbPay host a full video course?
Not as a course platform. There are no lessons, progress tracking or member areas. What EmbPay does is take the payment and release the private link to wherever your course lives. If you need hosted lessons, pair EmbPay with a video host or use a course platform instead.
How do I stop a private link being shared?
Use your video host's privacy controls, such as domain restriction or unlisted links you can rotate. EmbPay's role is to release the link only after payment and, for uploaded files, to expire the download link after your chosen window.
Can I sell a clip under two licences?
Yes. Add personal and commercial pricing options to the same product; the buyer chooses at checkout and the order records the licence. State the terms in the description.
Are one-click upsells available on payment plans?
One-click upsells apply to one-time checkouts. A split-pay purchase can still carry order bumps on the checkout itself, so put the project files there.
What does the platform charge per sale?
Nothing. The platform fee is 0% on every plan; Stripe bills its processing fee to your own account.
