Clipart buyers are mostly other makers: teachers building worksheets, crafters cutting vinyl, small businesses making their own social posts. They buy in sets, they care about file formats more than most, and they will pay more for a licence that lets them use your work in products they sell. That last point is where the money is, and it is also where marketplaces are least flexible.
Overview
EmbPay lets you set the licence tiers yourself, as pricing options on one product, and put the checkout wherever your buyers find you. Upload the set once, and each sale is a card payment into your own Stripe account with the files delivered by an expiring link.
How clipart are priced in practice.
Small sets sell for a few dollars; large themed collections and commercial-licence bundles sell in the tens to low hundreds.
Price the licence, not the count. A personal-use price, a small-business commercial price and an extended licence for print-on-demand, as three options on the same product, let the buyer choose without emailing you. The order records which one they picked, which matters when a licence question comes up later.
Pricing options that fit
- Several one-time options — personal, commercial and extended licences on one product.
- Order bump — the coordinating paper or frame set on the main set's checkout.
- Coupons — a subscriber discount or a seasonal sale, with a usage cap and expiry.

Create the product
In the dashboard, add a product with a name, description and price. Choose how it is delivered: upload a file, point to a hosted URL, issue a licence key, or show instructions after purchase.

Package your clipart
Ship every format a buyer might need in one zip, sorted into folders by type: PNG at 300 dpi for print, SVG for cutting machines and scaling, the source file if the licence includes it. Include a licence text file that states the tier the buyer purchased. EmbPay hosts one file per product, up to 500 MB, which comfortably covers a large set in all formats.

Share the link or embed the checkout
Every product has a hosted page you can link from anywhere, and an embed snippet for your own site. Connect your Stripe account and buyers can pay; until then the page says the product is not on sale yet.

Files delivered by expiring link
The zip goes out in the confirmation email the moment payment succeeds, on a link that expires after the window you choose. The default is one day.

Embed the checkout on your site or share the hosted page from Pinterest, a teachers' group or your newsletter. Same checkout, same account.
A blocklist and geo rules
Block an email or a country from buying if you have had trouble, and restrict a product to the regions your licence covers. Enforced before the charge is attempted.

Selling clipart: the questions we get.
Can I sell SVGs for cutting machines?
Yes. Include the SVG and, if your buyers use them, DXF and PNG versions in the zip. State which cutting software you tested with on the product page; EmbPay delivers the files, it does not convert them.
How do I handle a commercial licence request from a big buyer?
Add an extended-licence pricing option with the price you would quote, or make a separate product for that client and send them its checkout link. Either way the sale is recorded against the licence they bought.
Do buyers need to create an account?
No. They pay by card, receive the download link by email and can reopen it from the customer hub by email, without a password.
What if a buyer says the link expired?
Send a fresh one from the order in your dashboard. Choosing a longer window for large collections, which buyers often download to a second machine, avoids most of these.
Is there a listing or transaction fee?
No listing fee and a 0% platform fee on every plan. The free plan allows two products; Stripe bills its processing fee directly on your own account.
